Worst Movie: An American Haunting
It starts off in present day and then shifts to the 1800's. The way it happened made me think that this was going to be just to build the plot for the original character, but I was wrong. They don't show up again till the end. The new characters are visited by a ghost and or daemon that plagues one of the families daughters. Towards the end she has a botched exorcism. It was dull and cliche, I've seen it all before. The characters were so shallow that did really care if they died or not. So here's the big finish! At the climax (or lack there of) there are some flash back scenes from earlier in the film (The Sixth Sense) that shows that there is no ghost at all. The father is mearly molesting his daughter. But for that to be believable you have to just ignore the last hour and a half of ghost and goblins. That's not a twist, that's just stupidity.

Best Film: Lady in the Water
Before I went and saw this I happened to check out what the critics said. Rotten Tomatoes had a 22% for it, which is really bad.  After I saw it I just realized that the critics were just out  to get  M. Night  because he took a shot at them in the movie. Critics are those who can't do themselves and are also those who are very petty. Lady in the Water is a well crafted tale about destiny. It is wonderfully shot taking camera technique to new heights. My favorite shot is an underwater angle at the climax of the movie. The actors are fantastic and really bring the colorful characters to life. I know this won't be up for an Oscar, because we all know the Academy is petty too.

All in all the summer was a big let down. Last year some terrific movies like Crash, Hustle & Flow, Howl's Moving Castle, Layer Cake, and Cinderella Man. Besides Lady in the Water there was no serious great movie. Superman was very good and MI3 was surprisingly a lot of fun, but The Da Vinci Code let me down too much, Poseidon was just dumb, and the whole point of X-Men 3 was just to kill off all the characters so there could not be another sequel. It's only saving grace was the screwball comedies The Break-Up and Clerks 2.

Chillin tagged me so I have to give 5 weird “facts/habits” about myself. Here we go.
1. I can't say "your welcome". I just say "sure", which I guess is the same thing, but it would be nice if I could say it.
2. I lock the door to the bathroom no matter where I'm at. The g/f confronted me the other day when she thought I was locking the door so she wouldn't attack me while I was peeing. Just force of habit.
3. I would say I spend 3-4 hours a day listening to music.
4. In the 9th grade I was in a homemade monster movie. My friend Craig and I were the comic relief. I was dressed as Superman and he was a ninja, in every sceen you could see us in the background having a battle for the fate of the universe. In one sceen we were thumb wrestling.
5. I usually go 2 or 3 months without taking my contacts out. Thats probibly going to hurt me in the long run.
